A catholyte tank for the expansion of Queensland's only chlor-alkali plant.

In 2015 Coogee Chemicals expanded its Elite Chemicals chlor-alkali facility next to the Port of Brisbane. The plant produces sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda, and demand was growing, particularly for water treatment in the expanding coal seam gas industry. The Lytton plant is the only chlor-alkali plant in Queensland and supplies water treatment chemicals to most of the state's larger public pools and water treatment facilities.
On the strength of GRP's record supplying similar tanks in Western Australia, GRP Tank Solutions supplied a catholyte tank 5 m long and 3.2 m in diameter, adding capacity to support future demand.
