Background
Tronox's Western Australian mineral sands operations and its Kwinana pigment plant together form one of the world's largest integrated titanium dioxide operations. Most of the synthetic rutile produced at the Chandala processing plant is converted to titanium dioxide at Kwinana through the chloride process.
Solution
In 2007, as part of the plant's expansion and upgrade, GRP Tank Solutions supplied an FRP scrubber system built to give long-term protection against the materials and abrasion expected inside the scrubber.
